Further, the Bluetooth coding supports AAC and aptX in addition to general SBC. When combined with an Android handset that supports aptX, compression using masking as with SBC or AAC is unnecessary and thus a greater amount of information is utilized to allow users to enjoy a wider range of sounds. The sound delay is also approximately one-third (theoretical value) that of SBC.
